Irish Christmas Angel Ornaments

Two very different Irish Christmas angels are fluttering round my shop.  The first, very individual lady is made of Connemara marble while her cousin is light and airy all swaggered out in Dublin sea glass:

Both are hand wrapped in silver plate and feature silver plate beading. They come to you from Dublin, Ireland. Tuesday Treasuries Fall In

Treasuries are showcase lists of Etsy goodies from various shops. They are artfully put

Autumn brings with it a noticeable change in treasury trends. Tones switch from pastels and bright colour blocks to seasonal browns, russets and golden hues. Beach and travel themes are replaced with back to school, knits and nature.

Somehow, the same brown gemstone earrings made it into a second treasury this week. 'End of the Day' by Jill and Cathy of Envy Alley feels exactly as the title suggests, featuring that hazy, evening light found in late Summer/early Autumn. Beaded Valentine Heart Gifts

The tinsel and holly have barely been taken down and already it's time for crafters (and romatic souls) to turn thoughts to the next big Western world holiday, Valentine's Day. It is after all, just a month away. Here are a few ideas for an alternative to the traditional flowers and/or chocolates.

No need to bust the bank if you went all out at Christmas. This pretty ceramic pink heart ornament or rear view mirror will delight a girlie girl and is only €5. It's a super token to give your young daughter for her room too.

Kilkenny marble heart pendant made in Ireland

And for something rare and uniquely Irish, I suggest this Kilkenny marble heart pendant on sterling silver chain. Kilkenny really is in the heart of Ireland so why not a heart made of Kilkenny marble? This ancient, black stone is more often seen in public buildings and lining the pavement curbs in the 'Marble City.' Jewellery pieces are scarce. Winter Berries & Garnet Earrings. Inspirations from Nature.

There has been a massive abundance of vividly coloured red berries this season, apparently due to the unusual and longer lasting good weather. The birds will be well fed this winter!

And here are some winter berries you can wear. 'Ruby Berries' earrings are made with rich claret garnets on sterling silver hooks. This sumptuous red gem is the birthstone for January. Known as the warrior stone, garnets were once incorporated into soldiers' armour for protection.
